How Does A Session Unfold?

How does a session unfold?

Before the first meeting, you may want to consider setting your goals based on the difficulties you are seeking help with. This will help us understand your situation better and provide a personalised therapeutic approach catered to your needs and goals.

You will learn practical tools and life skills related to your goals, and we recommend your active participation both during and between sessions. Integrating these skills into your daily routine will help your therapeutic progress.

At times, we may need to go to the core of what is hindering you from thoroughly achieving your goals. We may have to delve deeper to address emotional and automatic responses that no longer serve you. In this case, psychotherapy may be a powerful way to change maladaptive habits and self-defeating behaviours so that you have the capacity to heal and move forward to a fulfilling life. EMDR and Brainspotting are excellent modalities for this.

You can rest assured that all this will take place in a safe and confidential environment.

Therapy is not a dirty word. Seeking professional help early is vital to your well-being. If you have tried all that you can and still feel unable to move forward, tend to withdraw or become reactive when faced with challenges in life, seeking therapy will help you overcome these challenges.

Therapy will help you uncover your inner potential and let go of unhealthy habits that are counterproductive to your well-being and that of others. You will understand yourself and others better, and progress towards better wellbeing; building a better you today, for a better tomorrow.
