What is Brainspotting?

What is Brainspotting?

Brainspotting was developed by Psychotherapist Dr David Grand in 2003 and since then has been practised by thousands of therapists in the US, Europe and most recently in the Asia Pacific region.

Brainspotting can help access where trauma is stored in the brain so that unprocessed upsetting traumas can be overcome, allowing individuals to lead healthier and more fulfilling lives.

Brainspotting is a neuroperiential-model-based therapy that helps clients, children and adults who experience:

  • negative thoughts

  • distressing events

  • grief

  • depression

  • stress and anxiety

  • overwhelming emotions

  • fears and/or phobias

  • addictions

In addition, Brainspotting is a therapeutic approach that can help:

  • enhance sports competencies

  • tune up one’s creative performance and skills

  • expand understanding of one’s feelings

  • uncover insights into understanding one’s actions

  • harness creativity

  • sharpen perception

Looking for a powerful way to process trauma and emotional pain? Brainspotting is an innovative form of psychotherapy that uses eye position to access the deeper emotions and memories connected to the trauma - helping you to release stored pain and move forward with your life.
